Arsenal may have been handed a significant boost in their pursuit of Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino this summer with Bayern Munich ruling themselves out of the race to sign him.

The Brazilian attacker has been in fine form in the Bundesliga this season, looking a great prospect with his best years still ahead of him at only 23.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are expected to make a £20m bid to sign Firmino this summer, with Bayern officially ruling out a bid.
Sporting director Matthias Sammer is quoted as saying: “Firmino is a great player.
“But these stories have originated with his agent. We are not interested in signing Firmino.”
