Paris Saint-Germain striker and Tottenham Hotspur target Ezequiel Lavezzi delivered a muted display against Girondins de Bordeaux.
According to The Sun [via BBC Sport], Spurs are lining up a £15 million deal for 29-year-old Argentina and PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone is also believed to be eyeing up the international, whose work rate and desire may single him out as an ideal fit for the Vicente Calderon.
However, if either of his suitors had been watching the former Napoli man’s performance against Bordeaux, they may have their doubts about splashing out on the player.
Admittedly, Paris as a whole were poor, but Lavezzi appeared particularly subdued and delivered an infuriating display where he was regularly flagged offside.
When he did finally break through the Bordeaux defence, he could only shoot straight at Cedric Carrasso with the goal at his mercy.
With only four goals in 22 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season, Spurs and Atleti might be wise to look elsewhere…
