Emmanuel Adebayor might be behind Roberto Soldado and Harry Kane in the pecking order at Tottenham Hotspur but he’ll only leave the club for a move to Chelsea or Real Madrid.

The hilarious revelation comes from a report in the Daily Mail, which speculates as to the striker’s current situation at the club, as he’s become almost the forgotten man under Mauricio Pochettino.

Ever since Harry Kane shot onto the scene and into the Tottenham starting XI this season (Kane’s first goal this season in the Premier League incidentally came after he replaced Adebayor), the Togo striker has been left out in the cold – making just three Premier League appearances but pocketing a staggering £3.4 million.

Adebayor’s last appearance for Spurs was against Manchester United in March but by that point Spurs were already 3-0 down.

The North London club are incredibly eager to get his extortionate £100,000 wages off their salary bill, especially given his absolute lack of involvement and meagre two Premier League goals this season.

Whether they can find a buyer is the quite literal million pound question however, with the Mail’s staggering revelation that Adebayor will only agree to a move if it’s to Real Madrid or Chelsea.

That clearly isn’t going to happen, and the report claims Tottenham now face a battle to see if they can get him off their books in the summer, or have to stomach paying his £100,000 a week deal until at least June 30, 2016.
