Cambiasso was a surprise signing at the King Power Stadium last summer – having recently played for Inter Milan and Real Madrid-  but has gone on to enjoy an impressive debut season in the English top flight.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is keen to tie the 34-year-old Argentinian midfielder down to at least another season with the club, though it seems to hinge on the Foxes’ Premier League status.

The Indian Super League started last year, and was hugely successful in the sub-continent in it’s three month span. After the debut campaign, teams in the league are ready to spend big and attract big names, which will in turn see larger crowds.

Cambiasso’s side are currently 18th in the Premier League, only in the bottom three thanks to an inferior goal difference to 17th placed Hull City. Leicester have revived their season with three consecutive wins, meaning that their match against Burnley this weekend will prove to be a crucial relegation six-pointer.
