The France international extended his lead at the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts with an emphatic penalty finish against Evian on Saturday afternoon.
Heading into this fixture, the 23-year-old had found the net 26 times in 30 appearances, taking him six goals clear of Olympique de Marseille man and West Ham United target Andre-Pierre Gignac, who bagged a brace against FC Metz on Friday evening.
Lacazette’s penalty opportunity came about after Cameroon defender Dany Nounkeu was penalised for a high foot on Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
The striker made no mistake from the spot, firing high past Benjamin Leroy.
Lacazette has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal this summer, but appears keen to remain with Lyon.
The goal have OL a 2-0 half-time lead, returning them to the top of the Ligue 1 table, having played one game more than Paris Saint-Germain, who travel to FC Nantes on Sunday.
