Upton Park side chase Anfield star.
West Ham are in talks to sign Glen Johnson on a free transfer deal this summer according to the Daily Mirror.
The 30 year old is set to leave Liverpool as his contract looks set to expire at the end of the current campaign and with no new deal on the table a move to Upton Park is on the cards.
Johnson began his career at West Ham before leaving for Chelsea in 2003 and is seen by Sam Allardyce as a summer target, with loaned in wide-man Carl Jenkinson set to return to Arsenal.
Brendan Rodgers has seemingly no desire to hold on to Johnson, the England man having started just 14 Premier League fixtures this term, and a move back to East London may well help to re-ignite the defender’s career.
