Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Real Sociedad’s Inigo Martinez with a view to landing the 23 year old centre-back according to the Metro.

Brendan Rodgers has seen his side struggle at the back with new signing Dejan Lovren proving something of a flop in his debut season at Anfield and as such it’s no surprise the Northern Irishman would be on the look-out for new defensive options.
Martinez has been at Real Sociedad his entire professional career and may be tempted by a high-profile move that would help in his push to add to his one solitary Spanish national team cap.
There is some concern over the future of Liverpool stalwart Martin Skrtel, the Slovakian having just a year to run on his current deal, and this may also be a motivating factor with regards to tracking Martinez.
