Liverpool look to set to land Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the summer, as Roberto Mancini is reportedly willing to offload the Croatian to fund a move for Manchester City powerhouse Yaya Toure.
The Ivorian is at the top of Internazionale’s transfer wish-list, and the club’s desire to secure his signature in the next transfer window could signal the end of Kovacic’s career at the San Siro.

According to the Metro, Inter realise that in order to fund a move for the Ivorian – who is likely to command a fee of £10m and demand a huge salary – they will need to cash in on a number of senior players to make the transfer happen.
And Kovacic could be one who is put on the market.
The 21-year-old is set to be available at around £12.9m – a more than affordable price for Liverpool – and the young midfielder could follow in the footsteps of former Nerazzurri playmaker Philippe Coutinho in making the switch to Anfield.
The Croatia international has made 38 appearances this term – scoring five goals and registering two assists – and has been a bright spark in a faltering Inter Milan side over the past three seasons.
His confidence on the ball – at such a young age – could make him a potential replacement to the departing Steven Gerrard.
