Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to a superb deal to sign Barcelona winger and rumoured Manchester City target Pedro for just £10.8m this summer.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with the Spanish international for some time, with Arsene Wenger looking to improve his attacking options for next season after injury-hit seasons for current wide-players Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Pedro could be a significant improvement on the pair, despite losing his place in the Barca team this season due to the presence of big-name and big-money signings Luis Suarez and Neymar.
The 27-year-old has previously been regarded as one of the club’s most important players, forming a key part of Pep Guardiola’s dominant side of 2010/11, scoring in their win over Manchester United in the Champions League final.
Manchester City are also chasing Pedro’s signature as he looks set to be allowed to leave the Nou Camp this summer, and could still rival Arsenal in this transfer saga, according to the Daily Telegraph.
