(Video) Louis van Gaal had an eventful evening at the Man United end of season awards gathering

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is renowned for his strict approach to management and we all got another glimpse of it during the club’s annual Player of the Season awards on Tuesday evening.

We also got to see a lighter and funnier side to the Dutchman as he appeared to have had a few too many beers and that resulted in bad news for his assistant manager Ryan Giggs.

It has been an somewhat successful debut season for van Gaal as United have qualified for the Champions League next season, which was the target that he set at the beginning of the campaign.

But he wasn’t able to deliver silverware despite spending well over £100million on players such as Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw, which means he is likely to be under pressure next year to ensure the Red Devils don’t go three seasons without a trophy.
