Arsenal keen to strengthen midfield with signing of PSG duo this summer

Spanish news outlet Fichajes.net claim that the Costa Rican is itching for the summer transfer window to open, so he can end a miserable campaign in Madrid, and is eyeing the exit.

With Iker Casillas, Bernd Leno, and heavily linked Manchester United stopper David De Gea set to compete for the no.1 spot in the 2015-16 campaign, Navas has conceded that his future with the Spanish giants looks even bleaker.

Los Blancos will reportedly meet the exit wishes of the Costa Rica international with Arsenal poised to make an offer. The Gunners, however, must pay €10m (£7.1m), as the La Liga outfit want to recoup the money they paid for his signature only a season ago.

The 28-year-old moved from Levante last August when Real triggered a €10m buyout clause written into his contract and signed a six-year deal with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

A goalkeeper seems to be a primary target for Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, as he looks to bring in superior quality to that of current senior Arsenal stoppers David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny.
