Manchester United want to sign a Paris Saint-Germain player if Angel Di Maria ends up leaving Old Trafford to join up with the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

Supposedly, manager Louis van Gaal is keen on bringing in Netherlands international right-back Gregory van der Wiel, who could be an alternative to Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne in that role.
United are known to be keen on adding an attack-minded right-back to their ranks, and van der Wiel fits the bill after some fine displays throughout his career in both Holland and France.
It would be a big blow for United fans to see Di Maria leave the club after just one season, but the Argentine has certainly not performed to expectations since joining from Real Madrid, and may be surplus to requirements after the club’s deal for PSV attacker Memphis Depay.
According to the Daily Express, United would accept the 27-year-old’s exit if they could bring in the PSG defender in return.
