According to Torontofc.ca, he has already tied the club record for most assists in a season (six) despite it only being the thirteenth week of the campaign.

He latest two assists came last weekend as he helped Toronto to a comfortable 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes.

Toronto are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference, after picking up 16 points from their opening 11 games. They trail league leaders DC United by nine points.

Giovinco was chased by Arsenal for a long time, but he eventually opted to move to the MLS during the last transfer window. His move caused a great buzz in the USA, and he is widely regarded as the biggest player ‘in his prime’ to ever move to the league.
