Man Utd 2014/15 player ratings: De Gea star player with 9/10, new signing gets 8/10

Radamel Falcao – An absolute disaster of a signing, the on-loan Colombian only scored four goals and barely touched the ball in most of his appearances. 4.5/10.

James Wilson – A talented youngster who was rarely used, James Wilson still managed to grab two goals for United and looks a decent prospect. 6/10.

Paddy McNair – Another homegrown talent coming through, Paddy McNair looked good when used by United, but can certainly improve. 6/10.

Tyler Blackett – Similarly to the other youngsters, Tyler Blackett was not a regular but showed some promise and an equal amount of youthful inexperience. 6/10.

Victor Valdes – Despite joining late on and only playing two games, Victor Valdes showed some real quality in the final day draw with Hull City, making a wonder-save to keep his side in it. More to come from the former Barcelona man, for sure. 6.5/10.

Louis van Gaal – Finally, the manager, who spent a lot and perhaps should’ve done better with the squad at his disposal, but who also brought about a new optimism around Old Trafford after David Moyes’ reign. The Dutchman doesn’t look out of place at United and got the team playing some great football at points, even if he needs to show a little more flexibility with his tactics. 7/10.
