2) Didier Drogba, Chelsea 1-1 Bayern Munich, Chelsea win on penalties

No one fancied the Blues to win against Barcelona to get in to the final, and again they were massive underdogs in the match itself. Being played in Bayern’s home ground, the Allianz Arena, it would take something very special for the London outfit to come through and win. For 85 minutes it looked like that wasn’t going to happen, with the German side controlling the match and eventually scoring through Thomas Muller in the 83rd minutes.

However, Drogba had other ideas, scoring in the dying minutes of the 90, and then netting the winning penalty after a close extra time. It was no less then he deserved after a tireless performance up front, almost single handedly having to build attacks with the team sitting so deep.
