Tottenham transfer target keen on White Hart Lane move after impressive Premier League season

Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie is keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur if they firm up their interest, reports the Daily Mirror.

The 26-year-old managed six assists and four goals last season, but particularly impressed when Alan Pardew took the reins in January. The Democratic Republic of Congo international became the main man under the former Newcastle United boss, helping the Eagles to finish in the security of mid-table.

This has caught the eye of Spurs, who are in need of major reinforcements if they are going to improve on their fifth-place finish in the last campaign. However, the North Londoners may have to up the ante if they are going to be successful in their overtures, with the player happy to stay at Selhurst Park if necessary. Bolasie is understood to be confident that another 12 months in form with Palace will be enough to earn him a move to a top club.

With Erik Lamela on the verge of signing for FC Porto [Metro], Bolasie could prove to be a perfect replacement. The winger also already lives in London, so settling in, which has seemed so difficult for Tottenham players in recent years [Daily Mail], shouldn’t be a problem.

Bolasie is apparently set to join West Bromwich Albion ace Saido Berahino as part of a double move from Tottenham this summer [Daily Express]. The 21-year-old scored 20 goals in 45 appearances last season, and alongside his fellow potential signing, could ensure that Mauricio Pochettino does not have to rely so heavily on Harry Kane to hit the back of the net next season.
