Gunners poised to complete £60m swoop.
Arsenal have been cleared to sign two Real Madrid players in a £60m double deal this summer, according to various recent reports.
Although Arsene Wenger recently distanced himself from a move for French striker Karim Benzema, it now seems that Real are open to letting him go for £45m after Rafael Benitez has decided on using players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale centrally this season.
This puts Arsenal in the driving seat to land the 27-year-old, and they could also have good news in their pursuit of Spanish midfielder Asier Illarramendi.

The 25-year-old has reportedly been told he has no future at the Bernabeu, though Liverpool could be slight favourites to beat the Gunners to his signature, according to sources in Spain.
