Leicester City planning surprise move for Bayern Munich star

High-flying Leicester City are readying a move for Bayern Munich defender Dante, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Foxes are riding high following a strong start to their Premier League campaign and recently appointed manager Claudio Ranieri is certainly helping to keep up the good work that predecessor Nigel Pearson had put in prior to his arrival last month.

Leicester City are one of only four teams who remain unbeaten in the 2015/16 Premier League season and Ranieri has certainly been backed in the summer transfer window thus far.

Ranieri has seen Robert Huth, Shinji Okazaki, Gokhan Inler, N’Golo Kanté, Yohan Benalouane and Christian Fuchs brought in over the summer but a move to bring in experienced Brazilian international Dante would trump all of those additions.

The Daily Mirror claims Leicester City are ready to offer £5m for the 31-year-old centre-back, who has fallen down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order this season.
