Man United keeper David De Gea to complete £29m Real Madrid transfer on MONDAY

Real Madrid are set to complete the long awaited signing of Man United keeper David De Gea according to the Independent.

The 24-year-old keeper has been frozen out of Louis van Gaal’s Old Trafford set-up thus far this season and with just a year to run on his current Man United deal it appears that a move back to the Spanish capital is nearing completion.

De Gea moved to Man United from Atletico Madrid back in 2011 and after initially struggling to impress the custodian has matured into one of the best in the business.

Louis van Gaal has seen summer signing Sergio Romero keep clean sheets in Man United’s opening three Premier League fixtures and as such may lead the Dutch manager to believe he can afford to now cash-in on De Gea.

That said, The Independent believe van Gaal may look to land Ajax goalie Jasper Cillessen should De Gea indeed move to the Bernabeu
