Red Devils send scouts to Holland to watch teenager.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has had club scouts travel to his native Netherlands to watch 18-year-old Heerenveen starlet Jeremiah St Juste.

The teenage defender is widely regarded as one of the best prospects in Dutch football at the moment, having shone as part of the Heerenveen first-team in recent times.

Van Gaal has been keeping an eye on his progress and could now move for him in the January transfer window due to the injury sustained by Luke Shaw this week, which could put him out of action for six months or more.

According to the Metro, St Juste could be brought in as a like-for-like replacement, or to simply give United more options in their back four.
