Sir Alex Ferguson backs former playing legend to succeed Louis van Gaal as Man United boss

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Ryan Giggs is the right man to take over from veteran manager Louis van Gaal as Man United’s next manager according to Goal.com.

Giggs is currently working as an assistant to van Gaal and though there has been much discussion with regards the Welshman’s need to try his hand elsewhere before taking over at Man United Sir Alex Ferguson believes the former flying winger would be the right man to take over in 2017, when the Dutchman’s contract expires.

“I think Ryan has all the qualities to be a fantastic manager,”

“I have heard it said that he will have to go to another club first because he doesn’t have enough experience.

“But he is gaining experience working with Louis van Gaal and he also had experience working with David Moyes and working under me as a player.

“I don’t think that Ryan needs to go anywhere.” added Ferguson.
