Suarez wants Liverpool transfer in January

According to reports in Italy, Fiorentina midfielder Mario Suarez is desperate on a switch to Liverpool and is keen to secure a transfer in the January window.

The former Atletico Madrid man only moved to the Serie A side in the summer, but despite Fiore’s successes under Paulo Sousa, he has struggled to impress. The central midfielder has found himself on the bench for the Viola’s last six matches in the Italian top flight, and looks no closer to breaking into the Tuscany side’s starting XI.

His troubles have prompted rumours that he is keen for a move, and talkSPORT reference ‘reports in Italy’ which indicate that the midfielder has made Liverpool his preferred destination.

The Anfield side—who bested Chelsea 3-1 away on Saturday—are understood to reciprocate affections, and are in line to move for the player at the next possible opportunity.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds may yet face competition from La Liga side Sevilla, who are keen to bring the former Spanish champion back to his homeland.
