The agent of Nigerian international midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has confirmed that talks are ongoing over a possible move to Arsenal, according to the Metro.
Nwakali recently confessed that he would love to join The Gunners, but is also being chased by Chelsea and Udinese ahead of the transfer window reopening in January (via Metro).
However, despite the apparent interest from elsewhere, his agent Klay Ekeocha has revealed that talks are already underway with Arsenal over a move to The Emirates Stadium.
“We have been in touch with Arsenal,” explained Ekeocha.
“There has been no feedback [or bid] as yet though.”
Nwakali caught the eye in Nigeria’s midfield at the recent Under-17 World Cup in Chile, where he captained the country to victory and earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.
