Agent for Jose Mourinho gives update about his plans to manage again

Any Manchester United fan hoping former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho would ride in to Old Trafford and save their season may have gotten a bit of a wake-up call. Although Mourinho is still out of work, he does not appear to be headed to a new club in the immediate future – much to the chagrin of a litany of clubs in Europe.

Per the Mirror, Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes confirmed that the Special One is currently vacationing in Brazil and feels confident about his chances of getting a major job in either England, Spain or Italy.

“Mourinho is now in Brazil,” Mendes said “Let’s see what will happen when he returns.

“Jose has to feel comfortable because he is the No 1 in the world.

“Will we see him back in Italy? For now, I am not going to speak about Spain nor England nor Italy. I repeat, he is No 1 and now he is on holiday.”

Mourinho was fired as manager of Chelsea in mid-December after the club claimed just 15 points through 16 matches and were eliminated from the League Cup tournament earlier in the season.

Man United manager Louis van Gaal has lost four straight Premier League matches and has not led the Red Devils to a win since late November.
