Rooney was clearly frustrated as he ploughed his right boot into Oscar’s shin.
United have now gone eight games without winning, while Rooney has not scored in the Premier League since October 17.
A sixth 0-0 draw of the season for United leaves them sixth in the Premier League table, nine points behind leaders Arsenal, who beat Bournemouth 2-0 at the Emirates this evening.
