Barcelona romped to a 4-0 win over Real Betis at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night with striker Luis Suarez scoring a double.

The Brazilian had missed a penalty earlier in the game, only to see Heiko Westermann divert the rebound into the back of the net, while Lionel Messi doubled Barca’s lead just minutes later as Neymar was again at the heart of the move.

It was a 425th goal for the Argentinian in 500 appearances for the club, and he continues to mesmerise his fans with goalscoring displays that lead Barcelona to further silverware.

While the victory moves Luis Enrique’s side back to the summit of the La Liga table on goal difference but with a game in hand, it remains to be seen how many trophies the Spanish giants are able to win this season.

Having triumphed at the Club World Cup, they will now be fully focused on defending their Spanish and European crowns, and based on their performance on Wednesday night, they are certainly in good shape to achieve their objectives as they continue to lead the way above both Real and Atletico Madrid.

Enrique will be particularly delighted to see them get back on track in the league after consecutive draws, and with Neymar, Suarez and Messi looking in deadly form, they will hope to take that kind of display into 2016 to enjoy yet another successful and trophy-laden year.
