Arsenal listening to offers for young forward with expiring contract

Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has had a mixed bag of a season so far, scoring two Premier League goals and making two Champions League assists. But with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Arsenal have begun listening to transfer offers.

According to the Metro, officials from Turkish Super Lig giants Galasataray have traveled to London to meet with Arsenal about a possible move for Campbell. The 23-year-old Costa Rican international has been used only sparingly for the club after signing in 2011, due in large part to his failure to obtain a work permit in England until 2013.

Campbell was loaned out three times to Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos before finally making his debut for Arsenal early in the 2014-15 season. He was later loaned out again to Villareal during the January 2015 transfer window.

His best season of football came with Olympiacos in the 2013-14 season, when he scored eight league goals and 11 total goals for the Superleague Greece powerhouse.
