Agent of Liverpool transfer target & potential Jurgen Klopp solution leaves door open to Anfield move

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has insisted that his client is yet to agree terms with Torino, potentially leaving the door open for a switch to Liverpool.

With Simon Mignolet and Adam Bogdan failing to impress at Anfield this season, Jurgen Klopp has recalled young keeper Danny Ward from his loan spell at Aberdeen.

While the 22-year-old could be the long-term solution for the Reds, he is perhaps not the man to lead the Merseyside giants to the Champions League this season or the next.

As such, the Anfield heavyweights appear to be in need of a new man between the sticks, with the likes of Jack Butland and Steve Mandanda both linked with a switch to join Jurgen Klopp’s revolution at Anfield.

Another possibility is PSG keeper Sirigu, who has lost his place at the Parc des Princes following the arrival of Kevin Trapp in the summer.

However, while Liverpool appeared to have missed out on the guardsman, following rumours that he’d agreed a deal to move to Serie A side Torino, the player’s agent has revealed that nothing has been confirmed, meaning that…for the time being…Sirigu remains available.

“Sirigu to Torino?” the agent began, speaking on the Italian TV show ‘La Domenica Sportiva’ [as per Le 10 Sport]. “There is nothing concrete at the moment.”
