Liverpool & Tottenham face fresh competition for international stopper as Euro giants eye transfer

According to reports, Inter Milan are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain stopper Salvatore Sirigu, who they are considering as a potential replacement for Samir Handanovic.

The Slovenian stopper has regularly been one of the stand-out players in his position in Serie A, and has subsequently been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

While David De Gea ultimately remained at Old Trafford last summer, meaning Louis van Gaal had no need to recruit another new stopper, the Spain international may well be courted by Los Merengues this summer, meaning that Handanovic could be courted once again in the north west.

With Handanovic’s future up in the air, Inter are understood to be considering other options, and according to Corriere dello Sport [via Goal] they have their eyes on PSG’s Sirigu.

Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to the Italy international in recent transfer windows, and it remains to be seen whether either club will look to move for the 29-year-old this summer.
