Pep Guardiola has one foot out of the door at Bayern Munich and players are already taking liberties.

The Spaniard’s end-of-season switch to Manchester City was confirmed on Monday. The world’s most in-demand manager has signed a three-year contract reportedly worth £292,000 per week.

The announcement has captured the excitement of the Premier League, but it might have had a negative impact on his authority at Bayern, now that this players know he won’t be there next season.

Arturo Vidal is one player who is apparently slacking already. The Sun claims, citing reports from Bild, that the Chilean midfielder turned up for training smelling of booze at their winter camp in Qatar.

The 28-year-old, who was Guardiola’s marquee signing from Juventus last summer, has a history of alcohol-related trouble. Last year he was arrested for drink driving after crashing his Ferrari.

This is the latest incident which suggests that the Bayern squad have lost discipline. According to Bild, Guardiola has accused some of being overweight, and there is a bad atmosphere in the dressing room.

Munich are eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, but Guardiola could face a difficult task motiving them in the second half of the season as he looks to sign off with multiple trophies.
