Arsenal are said to be readying a push to sign West Ham United starlet Reece Oxford over the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 17-year-old has been drafted into the Hammers’ starting line up on numerous occasions this season, and has apparently impressed Gunners scouts enough to prepare a bid for his services at the end of the campaign.
The report states that Manchester United are also keen on snapping him up, but Arsenal are keen to beat any potential rivals in the queue and will line up an £8million offer to bring him to the Emirates.
Arsenal have apparently been scouting the teenager since before he linked up with West Ham and after he starred in the opening day victory over the Gunners, his form with the first team and the development squad has convinced them of his abilities.
However, since October he has seen a sharp drop in his first team duties, and though he is under contract until 2018, it is believed that he would be open to a move sooner.
