Liverpool midfield target visits Melwood training complex ahead of potential summer transfer

Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho was reportedly seen at Liverpool’s Melwood training complex this week as rumours of a summer move to Merseyside gather pace, according to Read Liverpool.

The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Anfield back in 2014, but the deal never got off the ground and he ended up staying with the La Liga side.

However, reports this week are claiming that he flew into Liverpool on Thursday and visited the Reds’ training ground with his agent, and while the nature of the visit remains undisclosed, it is believed that he was there to talk business ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp will already be well aware of Camacho’s abilities, having seen him up close during Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League tie with Malaga back in 2013.

And the manager is likely to make a number of changes to his playing staff at the end of the season, and could bring in the defensive midfielder to add more balance to his central areas.
