International striker goes AWOL ahead of Arsenal’s draw at West Ham

According to reports, Diafra Sakho is understood to have walked out on training on Friday, ahead of West Ham United‘s Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Gunners tore into a 2-0 lead in the back, but the home side struck back through Andy Carroll, who struck a magnificent hat-trick to reignite the Hammers’ Champions League hopes.

However, the London derby ended all square as Laurent Koscielny equalised in the 70th minute to ensure that the points were shared in a 3-3 draw.

West Ham had to do it without Senegal international Sakho, with Goal reporting that the West African left his teammates high and dry after going AWOL from training having missed out on a first-team session on Friday.

The website note that coach Slaven Bilic insisted the player was suffering from an injury in his post-match press conference, but Goal note that the forward only informed the club of a problem after he was informed—by means of a training game lineup—that he would not be apart of the starting XI against Arsenal.

He didn’t show up at Upton Park, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
