Gary Neville linked with sensational return to management where you’d least expect

After his disappointing spell at Valencia, Manchester United legend Gary Neville could be set to become the new manager of Delhi Dynamos in a surprise return to management in the Indian Super League.

The former Sky Sports pundit lasted just four months with the La Liga side, as he was ultimately unable to secure positive results consistently and move the club up the table.

While it was considered a brave decision from the former England international given that it was his first major managerial role since retiring, he will now hope to begin the process of rebuilding his coaching career as he will no doubt harbour ambitions of taking charge at another top club in the future.

As reported by Joe.co.uk, the 41-year-old is on the verge of being unveiled as the new manager of the Dynamos, which would be a major coup for Indian football as it continues to grow in terms of infrastructure and popularity.

While the likes of Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Carlos have already been associated with the club, it would be another significant move from them given that they only began playing their first games in 2014.

Owned by Delhi-based DEN Networks, they aren’t short of financial power and coupled with Neville’s influence should it be confirmed that he will take charge, they will hope to continue to develop into a leading side in India.

As for Neville, it could be the perfect move to get away from the spotlight as he will no doubt keep his options open if he receives another appealing offer from Europe.
