Luis Suarez a ‘killer’, claims Barcelona boss

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has celebrated Luis Suarez‘s intelligence and penalty-box menace, accusing the Uruguay international of being a ‘killer’.

Suarez was at his devastating best on Sunday, scoring twice as Barca put Espanyol to the sword.

Barca started the match strongly, opening the scoring after just eight minutes through Lionel Messi, and Suarez put the match beyond Espanyol with two goals inside nine minutes in the second-half.

Rafinha added a fourth in the 74th minute, before Suarez turned provider as he set up Neymar in the 83rd minute to round off a convincing victory for Luis Enrique’s champions elect.

The win keeps Barca in top spot in the Spanish championship, although they’ve yet to clinch the title, and rivals Real Madrid could yet usurp their eternal enemies if the Catalans slip up on the final day.

Looking back over the Espanyol bout—in discussion with Marca—Enrique has praised Suarez.

“He’s very intelligent,” the Spanish coach began. “We’ve seen in situations in previous years that it’s harmful to look for too much from a player.
