Man City target reveals he’s on verge of Palmeiras exit but remains coy on destination

Palmeiras wonder-kid Gabriel Jesus has revealed that he expects to leave the Brazilian giants over the summer but has refused to confirm which club he will join.

Jesus is currently on international duty with the Brazil Olympic squad has has been linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City according to Talksport.

The 19-year-old forward stated that his priority right now is doing well for Brazil at the country’s home games but he did underline that his next destination will be disclosed soon.

“My future is almost decided,” Jesus was quoted as saying by Talksport.

“My family, my representatives and Palmeiras know where I want to go, but now I’m totally focused on winning gold for my country. The agreement is almost done but I’m completely concentrated here.”

Jesus revealed that his parents and agents will now make the final decision regarding his future and that all will be revealed soon.

“Before I came here I was in negotiations but now that I’m here I’m leaving it to my parents and my agents. Before long my decision will be known,” he added.

The Daily Mail recently reported that City are nearing a £20 million deal for Jesus despite interest from cross-city rivals United.

The 19-year-old forward has found the back of the net 19 times in 31 appearances for Palmeiras this year.

The highly rated youngster was rated the Best Newcomer in the Brazilian championship for his impressive season over the last league campaign.
