Facebook to stream Man Utd v Everton clash to 1.7 billion people

Facebook will stream the Manchester United v Everton clash life for free to football fans across the world.

Wayne Rooney revealed on his official Facebook that his testimonial match against Everton at Old Trafford will be available for all to watch via social media.

The event will mark history becoming the first ever game between two Premier League sides to be streamed live on Facebook.

As things stand a combined 1.7 billion will be able to watch the testimonial game worldwide according to the BBC.

“I’ve got some exciting news to share,” said Rooney on his official Facebook page. “Tomorrow’s testimonial match between Manchester United and Everton Football Club will be streamed live on Facebook (from 7:15pm BST) – on both my page and the Manchester United page. I’m delighted to give my fans around the world a chance to watch the game as we try to raise as much money as possible for the Wayne Rooney Foundation!”

The match will mark a clash between Rooney’s only two professional clubs that he has played for and celebrate 12 years of service to the Red Devils.

Summer signings Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly are all expected to play their first game as United players at Old Trafford against the Toffees tomorrow.

Ibrahimovic made his unofficial debut for the Red Devils against Galatasaray last Saturday in Ullevi, Sweden and scored the opening goal in the 5-2 victory.
