Cristiano Ronaldo hilariously trolls Barcelona rival after Champions League dig

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at Gerard Pique after the Barcelona man aimed a not-so-subtle swipe at the La Liga giants this week.

The pair will renew hostilities when they cross paths in La Liga later this season, but evidently waiting for an El Clasico was too much effort.

When asked what kind of draw he wanted in the Champions League this year, Pique responded by recalling Real’s run to the final last season which many perceived as being quite favourable.

“An easy group stage, Italy’s 3rd in the round of 16 (Roma), Germany’s 8th in the quarters (Wolfsburg), England’s 4th in semis (Manchester City) and the return leg always at home.”

That wasn’t lost on Ronaldo who picked up the UEFA Best Player award this week, and he was unsurprisingly asked about Pique’s comments.

Instead of thinking too deep about a comeback, according to Cadena Ser he merely responded: “All I can say to him is that he should take a look at the beautiful pictures I’ve uploaded to Facebook and Instagram.”

We’re assuming he probably meant these…

Very happy and proud to win such a special award. Thank you to my team mates from Real Madrid and Portugal!???
