Man United boss holds private meeting with Wayne Rooney over complaining about teammates

Manchester United veteran Wayne Rooney has not exactly been in the best of form recently but that has not stopped him criticizing his teammates according to the Sun.

Rooney reportedly slammed his teammates at half-time during the 2-1 defeat against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Per the source, United boss Jose Mourinho was reported to have not been best pleased with Rooney’s conduct and held a private meeting with the player at the training grounds.

Mourinho was reported to have told Rooney that he must improve his form before focusing on other players.

Rooney was dropped going into the United’s game against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City and the Red Devils ended up winning the clash 4-1.

Mourinho denied rumors that he dropped Rooney because he has fallen out of favor with the head coach and put his decision down to needing the younger legs of Marcus Rashford, 18, and Jesse Lingard, 23 against Leicester.
