Man Utd legend admits rivals Liverpool could win league

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has admitted that rivals Liverpool could very well end up winning the league title

United have not got off to the best of starts this season unlike the Reds who have hit the ground running under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.

Scholes feels the Reds are capable of scoring against every team and that they have wonderful attacking talent.

The former United star did however, reveal that he thought one area of concern for Liverpool could end up being their defence.

Asked on BT Sport [quoted by the Sun] if the Reds could end up winning the league, Scholes said: “They do to me.

“I was a little bit worried about them defensively but you have to say the attacking qualities they are showing at the minute, they look like they are going to score goals against anybody.”

Scholes did however, state that he hopes United’s rivals do not end up winning the league title.

“I hope they don’t,” he added.

Liverpool have beat Arsenal, Chelsea, reigning champions Leicester City and put five past Hull City already this season.

The Reds are however, just two points above United in fourth place but have scored four more goals.
