Brazilian Chelsea player hoping to secure move from Stamford Bridge

Lucas Piazon, Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder on loan at Fulham, has all but confirmed he’s accepted that he must leave Stamford Bridge for the good of his career.

Speaking to local site GetWestLondon, Piazon said that he was enjoying his time at Craven Cottage, and that the style of play under Slavisa Jokanovic suited his game.

“I think I feel comfortable here at Fulham, and I come from Brazil, so I like to have the ball and this team likes the ball so it suits me,” Piazon said.

After mixed spells at Malaga, Frankfurt and reading in recent years, the attacking midfielder has settled in by the Thames and is playing regularly in a division which doesn’t necessarily play to his strengths. While he doesn’t start every game, he often comes off the bench to make a creative impact later on in games, and is steadily collecting goals and assists.

At 22 it seems that his window to make it at Chelsea has closed, but he still has plenty of opportunity to become a good Premier League player. Indeed if he can help high-flying Fulham get promoted this season, it could happen sooner rather than later.
