Chelsea forward hopes more fine form will help seal permanent transfer or new contract

Nearly three years on from his move to Chelsea from Sao Paulo in January 2012, Brazilian forward Lucas Piazon only has three senior Blues appearances to his name.

The speedy South American, 22, has been loaned out to five different clubs during his time as a Chelsea player.

Following spells at Malaga, Vitesse, Frankfurt and Reading, Piazon made the short trip across West London to join local rivals Fulham in August.

And he has settled fairly well at Craven Cottage, scoring three goals in his first 11 games.

Piazon’s last two outings have been as a sub, though, but he is keen to get back into the starting XI.

According to Get West London, Piazon hopes to become a starter again in order to boost his chances of sealing a permanent transfer, or a new contact with Chelsea, as his current deal expires at the end of the season.

Fulham, who have been in the second tier of England football since being relegated in 2014, are currently 10th in the Championship.
