Manchester United give West Ham a definitive answer in their pursuit of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial

Manchester United have given West Ham United a definitive answer in the Hammers’ pursuit of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

The Daily Star report that West Ham are keen on signing Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial on loan in the winter transfer window, as Slaven Bilic looks to solve his side’s woes in the striker department. The tabloid also report, however, that there is no possibility of either leaving the club in January.

Neither Martial or Rashford, who were both cornerstones in Louis Van Gaal’s United side, have featured regularly since Jose Mourinho took the reigns at Old Trafford in the summer. As per the Daily Star, though, Mourinho believes the pair both have considerable roles to play this season and in the future.

West Ham will have to look elsewhere in their desperate hunt for a striker, or risk being lumbered with Andy Carroll and Simone Zaza for the remainder of the season.
