Gabriel Jesus’ inclusion in starting eleven bodes well for Man City, not so much for relegation battling Middlesbrough

Gabriel Jesus’ inclusion in Manchester City’s starting eleven today does not bode well for Middlesbrough.

The Brazilian signed for City in the summer transfer window, but did not made his debut for the club until January. He had an immediate impact, scoring three goals in his first four appearances in a City shirt before picking up a foot injury.

Jesus is fit once now, and back in the Man City side. His inclusion in Pep Guardiola’s starting side against Boro today will undoubtedly be a pleasing sight for the City faithful.

Man City are yet to taste defeat in a game in which Jesus has played a minute, which will be worry for Middlesbrough. They are 19th in the Premier League table, seven points from safety – only a victory today will do.

All four of the games Jesus has started for City since his arrival, they have picked up all three points – 12/12, a 100% record. He’ll be looking to continue that today.
