Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly demanding four signings in order to remain at Old Trafford and snub an offer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Don Balon claim the Portuguese tactician is desperate for his side to strengthen in order to catch up with Manchester City, echoing ESPN‘s claims that he feels Pep Guardiola has been more strongly backed in the transfer market by his club.

According to Don Balon’s report, Mourinho believes United need to sign a winger, a central midfielder, a left-back and a centre-back to put themselves in a position to challenge for major honours again.

ESPN claimed the former Chelsea boss was bitterly disappointed to miss out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic in the summer, while left-back clearly remains a problem due to the apparent freezing out of Luke Shaw as the likes of Ashley Young continue to fill in out of position in that department.

Still, United have had plenty to spend since Mourinho took over, bringing in big names like Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan last year and following that up with Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof this term.

Clearly still not satisfied, Mourinho now seems to be requesting four more players, with Don Balon mentioning that Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Ozil could be one of them, though no other specific names are given for the moment.

The Sun recently linked Mourinho strongly with a move to take over at PSG, with the 54-year-old’s situation supposedly increasingly worrying chiefs at Old Trafford.
