Chelsea winger Willian has admitted he’s frustrated by his lack of regular playing time for the Blues at the moment amid rumours linking him with a transfer to Manchester United.
According to the Daily Express, the Brazil international is on the radar of his old manager Jose Mourinho this January, following some interest from the Red Devils over the summer as well.
‘I had contact with Manchester United but I was not close to leaving,’ Willian is quoted by the Metro, though his latest quotes suggest he may not put up with his situation at Stamford Bridge for a great deal longer.
‘Of course I want to play every game,’ he told Football Focus.

‘But I respect every decision because we have great players in the squad, so you have to respect Conte’s decision.
‘But every player wants to play.’
United could do with more options out wide due to the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial having to adapt to new roles in that department this season.
Both would be more ideally suited to playing up front, though Romelu Lukaku is the clear first choice in that position at the moment.

ESPN also recently claimed United manager Mourinho was desperate to sign a winger in the summer, and remains bitter about missing out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.
Willian could certainly be a decent alternative and he may fancy his chances of playing more if he were to make the switch to Old Trafford.
