Manchester United have seen their odds on signing Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez slashed after transfer rumours emerging on the Chilean this afternoon.
Sanchez is nearing the end of his contract with the Gunners and could soon be on the move, with the Independent reporting that he could be a Manchester City player by the weekend.
The 29-year-old would be a fine signing for Pep Guardiola’s side after months trying, with BBC Sport also noting that a move to the Etihad Stadium fell through for him in the summer.

Gianluca Di Marzio has today tweeted, however, that United have also asked about signing Sanchez, leading to Ladbrokes cutting their odds on that deal.
City remain the favourites at slightly less favourable odds of 1/2, while United have been cut from 16/1 to just 11/4 after a flurry of bets.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: ‘We always thought Sanchez would be making a move to Manchester this month, but the latest odds suggest a shock switch to the red half of the city might now be on the cards.’
United could certainly do with a player of Sanchez’s quality in their attack, with Romelu Lukaku struggling to do it all on his own up front this term, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have been inconsistent in the wide-forward areas.
