Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Gareth Bale to Manchester United in order to seal the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
According to Don Balon, the Spanish giants are focusing their efforts on snapping up the in-form Belgium international after a series of impressive displays at the World Cup this summer.
Lukaku was in particularly inspired form for Belgium’s win over Brazil on Friday night, helping his country reach the World Cup semi-finals.
It’s easy to see how the 25-year-old could be a good fit at Real Madrid, who could do with a top class signing at centre-forward after Karim Benzema’s dip in form last season.
Although the Frenchman scored a big goal in the Champions League final win over Liverpool, he had a low-scoring campaign overall and Lukaku looks a clear upgrade.
Don Balon report that Madrid would be ready to offer Bale to United in order to help their chances of landing Lukaku this summer.
