Barcelona are reportedly optimistic about their chances of sealing the transfer of Chelsea winger Willian this summer.
This is according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, who claim the Brazil international has held talks over a move to the Nou Camp and that the club are confident they can get him.
This seems to make sense following other recent reports that had Manchester United down as suitors, with Chelsea surely preferring to sell to a foreign club than to a Premier League rival.
It may be that United are now out of the running anyway as the Sun have stated they’re unwilling to meet the Blues’ £70million asking price for him this summer.
Willian has shone for Chelsea and losing him could prove a real blow for the club who are already facing a difficult summer after finishing 5th in the Premier League last term.
Still, United will likely also be disappointed if Barca end up getting him, with Jose Mourinho signing the 29-year-old during his days as manager at Stamford Bridge.
A hard working and direct player, Willian seems ideal for a Mourinho side and would surely have a key role to play at Old Trafford.
Attacking reinforcements have to be a priority for the Red Devils after the poor start made by Alexis Sanchez at United, with a big gap to close on rivals Manchester City if they are to win the title next season.
