Real Madrid club officials jet off to finalise transfer of global superstar as Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus deal edges closer

Real Madrid have reportedly sent a club official to Brazil to finalise the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar, according to Mootaz Chehade.

As this happens, Yahoo Sport claim Cristiano Ronaldo is edging closer to leaving Real Madrid for Juventus after rejecting a new contract at the Bernabeu.

Neymar seems an ideal like-for-like replacement for Ronaldo up front, even if the Brazil international hasn’t historically scored quite at the same freakishly prolific level as the Portuguese.

The 26-year-old only joined PSG from Real’s arch rivals Barcelona last summer, but almost since he joined has been faced with rumours about a potential return to Spain with Madrid.

One of the biggest names in world football, Neymar should in theory be available to discuss a transfer to Madrid after Brazil’s recent elimination from the World Cup.

The former Santos man is the kind of glamorous Galactico signing Real Madrid like, and would ease the blow losing one of the club’s greatest ever players in Ronaldo.
